Chapter 9 Summary
I can understand many of the types of type-to-type business models for good reason. Business-to-consumer is most likely a retailer who is selling products to customers who access the store somehow to buy something. Business-to-business, I can already think of animatronic manufacturers who sell Halloween-themed products to Halloween retailers to make a profit. Consumer-to-consumer is thought best as people on eBay who auction other things or even do yard sales for the green. However, I can barely come up with any good thoughts for consumer-to-business models. It seems impossible to think of any reason why a business would seek out a consumer for any reason.
The dot-com domains have become so common that I find it easy to forget that the “com” is for “commerce.” I would not say that the dot-com stores are exclusively online, because I know a Halloween retailer, Spirit Halloween, that sells their items online while also having physical locations around the U.S. and Canada. Frankly, this e-book may be very outdated, and dot-com is really for any website at this point that wants to use that domain for revenue or not.
